Leif and Thorn - Team and Family

Leif & Thorn is officially in the stage of planning where there are actual storylines! Which means it needs whole groups of characters. Here are some of them.

Mostly-final designs. (Long-time followers: spot the recycled design elements!)

I have wanted to write a story with plant-themed names for years. With bonus puns! Leif is from a different country and has a different native language; he has no idea that his name is a homonym for "leaf" in Thorn's language. (Nor does he know that Thorn's name means "thorn.")

Violet, Rowan, Birch, and Juniper have all been a team with Thorn for years. Holly is a recent addition.

Tansy is Thorn's older sister. She's married to Larch, and their kids are Hawthorn and Hyacinth. (It's a cultural thing to give siblings alliterative names.)

All these characters use the mainstream naming scheme, even though they belong to multiple ethnicities, some of which are minorities in Ceannis. Some time later on we'll get to storylines with characters who have the in-universe version of "ethnic names."
