Night Vale Gems - Cassette

As promised, the Crystal Gem AU version of Cassette! Moonstone finds some old recordings...and shares them with Janice.

Since Moonstone is from a set of triplets, all their possible two-Gem fusions look almost identical. To tell them apart, you'd have to see them in color -- or look closely at their weapons -- or hear their voices, which aren't included in this recording.

The first fusion on the crystal is indeed Labradorite. The second one Janice sees is Sunstone + Moonstone, and the third is Amazonstone + Sunstone. (Missing brother Sunstone has a glaive for a weapon.) That final shot has Amazonstone arguing with the fusion of her brothers.

Cecil: Hey, Janice! I found some old recordings in a box in my closet -- want to take a look?
Janice: Sure, Uncle Moonstone! Is my mom in them?
Cecil: Not only is Amazonstone in here...you can see our former fusion, too!

Cecil: This is Labradorite! She's helping Old Woman Seraphinite with some chores.

Janice: Neat! I'm gonna load some more!

Janice: Hang on...Labradorite looks different there.
Cecil: Huh...must've been when one or both of us was on a different regeneration...
Janice: And the weapon's different too! There's only one blade, not two like my axe has...
Cecil: I...I don't remember anything like that...

Janice: They're different here, too! The weapon is all blades, no clubbing part like what's on your microphone at all!
Cecil: Wh-what? What is this?
Janice: Is this really the same fusion?
Cecil: It has to be!

Janice: But wait! If you and your twin are both fused here, then who--?

Cecil: All right!! That's quite enough of that!

Cecil: I am taking the recording, and I'm [oof] crushing it [huff] into little pieces [oof]! None of us have to think about it again.
