Leaf Green Pearl is having a hard time, and Sapphire wants to...comfort him? No, more than that. He wants to give Leaf a direct experience of what it's like to feel confident and safe.
As a knight, Sapphire has a lot of experience doing battle fusions with teammates. But up North it's considered embarrassing for higher-ranked Gems to fuse with Pearls, so this is Leaf's first experience with multi-species fusion. Their first effort is...awkward! And intimate, and touching, and fun. They're definitely doing it again.
