Back when Carlos was living in Night Vale, he tried to do science on the Man in the Tan Jacket. He didn't remember the results of any of his experiments (much to TJ's dismay), but that sure didn't stop him from trying.

TJ: When I was a kid, I was a normal, easy-to-recognize person.Then, when I was a young adult, something terrible happened. Now even my own brother barely remembers that I exist.
