Description

Much of my 2018 so far has been spent (a) fixing the art on BICP pages drawn in 2013 and (b) transcribing And Shine Heaven Now strips drawn in 2008.

Of course, that's in between actively working on new comics...and trying not to think too hard about how they'll look, in retrospect, when 2023 comes around.

Wow, I'm so happy with this page I just finished! It looks great. It came out exactly how I wanted. I can't wait to post it, and share it, and use it in ads, and . . .

Five years later...

Oh, geez, this old page is so embarrassing. The background is bad, the faces are all lopsided, I didn't use a reference here, I couldn't draw a straight line there . . . It's weird to think I was so proud of it. I genuinely couldn't see how many flaws it has.

. . . unlike THIS page I just finished, which looks great, and came out exactly how I wanted! I can't wait to post it, and . . .

Been there, and also been through a period where I thought that nothing should ever look good to me, because I would hate it later.

Then there was a period where everything I used to draw, regardless of anatomical error, made me feel so warm inside. My mother posited that it was because at least I drew it!
